A dilettante’s heart

There was once a queen without a crown
She doesn’t have a throne nor a gown
She only have a tower made of stone
Where she stays up late and wait until dawn,

She can write a poem about you
On how your smile can make her day anew
The way you speak, your voice t’was too damn good
And her heart that you always set into mood.

But darling lemme tell you something
Never break a dilettante’s heart
For she might be an amateur
But trust me,you won’t like it when she played it good,

She can treat you as the brightest star
Yet, she can’t claim you for you are the highest too
She maybe your servant and you might be her prince
But she was once a queen, and now she fell for a true king who already owned a lot of stars,

She may not know ‘how come love is true?’
Nor how her heart was suddenly injured
But then again,never break a dilettante’s heart
For you might be an expert but she can act as a connoisseur.

There was once a queen who never had a king
She is not even pretty to bear a crown or wear a gown
She only have a heart shattered in tiny pieces
Where she kept everything she can’t let go

She can write a story about you
On how you turn her laughter into tears
The way you talk, your voice is what she fears
And in the end,she can start the epilogue on how you broke her heart.
